Auditions for Puffs at Falcon's Eye Theatre

The Falcon’s Eye opens its sixteenth season with Puffs Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years At A Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matt Cox. Puffs is a hilarious send up of the story of the “boy wizard” told from the point of view of the enthusiastic and very silly Puffs. At first feeling like the “losers” of the school, through the power of friendship and loyalty, the Puffs find how very important they are. Come join the magic and avoid evil wizards with us in Stage 2!

When:

Open Monologue Auditions: Sunday August 28th, 1:30pm – 4:30pm (by appointment only)

Actors who have previously performed for FLC Theatre should fill out the form to RSVP to attend callbacks on Tuesday August 30th.

Where:

Audition check in will be in the Drama Lab (PAC 1170) in the Harris Center building on the FLC main campus. A campus map can be found here.

What to prepare:

Please prepare a 1 minute contemporary comedic monologue. Be ready to demonstrate a British accent if you want a role that requires one. The monologue must be memorized. Please bring a resume and headshot (if you have one). You may instead email this ahead of time, if you prefer.

Auditionees are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while indoors on campus, except while performing their monologue.

Call backs:

Call back auditions will be will be held Tuesday August 30th by invitation only. Your callback time could be anytime between 6:30-9:30pm. Callbacks will consist of cold readings from the text. Therefore, it is recommended that auditionees be familiar with the story of Puffs before auditioning.

Rehearsals and performance dates:

Rehearsals will be from September 6-October 22, 2022. Typically, regular rehearsals will  be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm-9:30pm, Fridays from 10:00am-1:30pm, and Sundays from 1pm-6pm.  Additional rehearsals  might include weekdays, and/or weekend days/nights. Minor conflicts with these dates are permissible. Be prepared to provide your complete calendar of availability at the first audition. Tech/Dress Rehearsals are October 27-November 3, 2022.

Performances are November 4-20, 2022. Performance calendar will include Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. In addition, there will be two Friday at 10am performances, subject to change. These dates are not optional. Attendance is required. School excuses are available for conflicts with classes.
