Join Sacramento Living History as they demonstrate an 1860s Independence Day celebration with historic displays of patriotism, activities, and contests for public participation. Watch a rousing game of croquet, a parade through town, songs and speeches, and a period picnic. Plus, help them in judging the “Most Patriotic Apron”, the “Most Patriotic Hat”, and the “Best Facial Hair”.

The Sacramento Yacht Club is inviting members of the public to watch the boat parade along both sides of the Sacramento River. Boats will be decorated in the theme “Stars and Stripes Forever”. Grab a chair, find a comfortable spot to relax, and enjoy a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Sacramento watching local boaters cruise by.
